A quick apology..

Look, I love this forum. I love you all on here, and the camaraderie we share as fanatics of radio and the industry. Unfortunately, the medium of an internet forum isn't the best at conveying the tone in which you say (or type) something.

My comments made on country music weren't meant as a slight against its fans on WXTU. I don't think most of you thought they were, but someone certainly did. They proceeded to attack the station I work as a music programmer and nighttime host, WGLS. I'm a soon to-be college grad looking to work in radio. I take it extremely seriously. Having this person attack me and clearly look for any reason to do so is not something I take kindly to.

I'll refrain from commenting further on the specific music I hear on the stations, and stick to other topics. If the moderators here have seen my reporting of this individual, I hope action can be taken. He's attacked other folks on here too, and does not seem to want to play nicely.

I am sorry for whatever I may have done, though, I do not plan on leaving this forum.

Look, maybe I have been overly mean.. but you have come on here with some incorrect information... you once claimed WNJC Was off the air for awhile because "they're broke and couldn't pay the electric bill".. you once surmised WVCH was off because funds were drying up and you had some incorrect information about a Reach translator on 97.1 picking up WTOP.

I'm not always right nor accurate, but I try very hard to not share or post what I cant prove. I was a bit of a punk way way in the early days of these boards and I try not to be anymore and try, maybe in the wrong way.. to steer otherwise who do some of what I did.

Plus, I'm a commercial radio broadcaster of 15+ years and it does aggravate my OCD when DX'ers/radio geeks take wild guesses using incorrect information.

Okay, boomer; but you're wrong.

The reach translator on 97.1 is fed by 103.5 in chester, which was indeed picked up WTOP during strong tropo. I can't know everything, but can make educated guesses. Plus, what, you're not a radio geek too? You make these boards a hostile environment and it's ****ing wrong. Get a grip and stop taking things so seriously.

You act as if I'm trying to bad mouth these stations I've figured had financial issues. I'm not, but merely pointing out WNJC or WVCH have little or no funding/ listeners. If you had to guess why they'd be off air once in a while- is it really a stretch to guess money issues?

Get a control over your anger. Being a punk once isn't an excuse. You just don't like me, and that's cool. But don't like you're in the right, because no one thinks you are.

I'm not mad at you. I actually find it hysterical you care about this so much. Maybe you should get a hobby- perhaps DX'ing? ;)

Okay, boomer; but you're wrong.

Most boomers in radio -- or any other business -- have been in it far longer than 15 years. OK, millennial? Someradioguy refers to "way way in the early days of these boards." That only takes him back to the '90s, maximum. If those were his "punk" years, he ain't no boomer, no way, nohow.

BTW, I'm a boomer and strictly a fan of radio, as my handle would indicate. I've been in the print end of communications since 1978.

I'm 36.

And in my comments about radiodx10 claiming WNJC was off for weeks.. when in fact it was only a few days.

When radiodx10 has been corrected on here or facebook.. he laughs it off (as he did to me once on facebook), ignores it or gets defensive. He is SMART enough to do better.

This is the point where I remember that saying that goes, “the older I get the more I realize how little I know.”

(And I did not think this when I was 20!)

And many of us boomers got into radio by hanging around a station until we knew enough to be hired for board-op or other menial jobs. That meant we were teens, and already had a decade of experience when the college graduation years arrived.

Boomer isn't an age, but a mindset.

I have no idea who you are on facebook, and I highly doubt I did such thing. If you are who I think you are, then you've also accused my good friend Dana at running his station WZML over-power, a grossly inaccurate lie.

So, It's almost certainly YOU reading too much into it. I don't laugh it off or get defensive. Well no, I do get defensive. Because I know I do a good job at the stations I've worked at. I know my stuff, and while sure I'm young, I know far more than the average millennial about radio.

And if we're gonna argue about time here, WNJC I know was off air for at the very least a week. Definitely more than that, but if you don't wanna admit you're wrong again, fine.

You don't wanna play nice, also fine. Just don't expect me to respect you just because you've worked in radio longer than I have. It's how you act as a person that gains respect. And from every single interaction I've had with you, you've never been cordial. I have had ZERO problems with anyone else on here.

Hell, I was nice as I could be to "Jul" aka WPHT guy, and he was a million times more annoying than you. But at least he never acted like an *******.

You're solely the individual making a huge fuss about nothing. If I did do what you say, then I'm sorry.

So here's how it works. LOL. You just click on the name of the offending person and on the next screen, you click the link to add that person to your Ignore list. Voila! Trust me, it makes the site much more enjoyable. For all I know, the annoying bastard I blocked could still be arguing with everything I say simply because he "likes to hear himself speak," for want of a better term. But I don't see it so what the hell do I care?

That having been said, I'm not making a judgment on whether your particular offender deserves to be blocked (I really don't remember much about his posts or whether I've had any interactions with him). But hey, if you get this much agita from the situation, as they say at the rallies, "Block Him Up!"
