A Radio Eulogy?

Re: Hail to the chief

JD, please listen to these people. You need to accept that, although you may sometimes be right, your path is wrong.

Congratulations on raising money for the family. I actually stopped by the remote and shook your hand Saturday. I didn't say much, and left my son to put money in the bin. Regardless, good job in doing what you did.

As far as your "jihad", give it up. I doubt you could ever get a full time job in the LV market...even nationally, as you are (career that is) seen as a joke.

Please try to change your image. Your perception. You mean good, but come off as a goof. You may go after me, but I have a good job, and I do a good job. I am not your enemy. Nor is anyone who tries to give you advise you may not want.

Good luck, JD.

Re: Hail to the chief

Obviously, everyone applauds Oldies efforts in raising funds for Sgt. Prendes. Everyone involved ought to be very proud. This is one aspect of local radio that needs to be recognized. Radio, not TV, not the crap-ass RJ, ALWAYS leads the way when it comes community service.

During Katrina, sure local TV broadcast the number for the Red Cross but did little else. Local radio mobilized. Several stations actually got their hands dirty and mobilized their listeners to help. I believe KLUC sent their crew in a truck full of supplies to Louisiana. They also did a huge toy drive that filled something like 10 truck-trailers and 800 bikes. What does TV do? Gary Waddell tells you where the nearest Toys for Tots location is.

You don't have to have a local news station to be pro-active in the community.

OMG and HOLY (BLEEP)!

JD is the biggest craziest fruit basket ive ever seen. (BLEEP), they need to wrap him up real tight in a straight jacket and lose the key, permanently...

JD.. get a ****ing life...

kxnt does live on scene news reporting now

I'm glad kxnt has listened to me and others and started doing live on scene reporting....(gun man held-up in an apartment and promimate schools locked down..)

pure financial analysis does not lead to innovation...."number crunchers" in Japan said that Honda shouldn't make cars...

sick person makes light of shooting

Some of us actually care about our community....covering breaking news storys can save lives....

gun man held up in apartment and schools locked down....kxnt had reporter on scene....they changed their policy
