A radio rant

When I lived in the Dallas area, talk radio was the best compared to television. Now it seems no one has talent. You have Opie and Anthony on XM, but I do not listen to them anymore. All they talk about is the past...before the suspension. Well, they were better then than now, but they talk excessively about how great they are while playing old audio. Even with Russ' arrest, you have people like Trey who agrees with everything Russ says. The abuse against Gavin is so five years ago. His fans say it is a bit, but it is an old bit. Please fans don't go say about how great he is. I have heard it many times before.

So please what good radio is out there? San Antonio does not have good radio hosts. Help!

Must be a SLOW day at the office....Try airchecks from the 60's and 70's...
 
theres local talent out there. they just havent been given the chance.
 
be glad you arent in waco, we have one local host GARETT LEWIS @ Http:www.newstalk1230.com keyword garrett. Everyone i have talked to loathes this guy because you either agree with him or are a total idiot. he just tries to cause conflict in the community as well
 
My guess is that most folks that are qualified and talented enough to do radio have moved on to bigger and better things. Everyone I know still working in radio is in school now to better themselves. Radio is a passion to most people- we don't expect to get paid big- but we DO expect to be paid enough to cover the bills. Sad.
 
Radio is like politics...anybody who wants to get into radio is automatically unqualified for the job.
