Part Two

One day, three months into his job, Jake received an urgent message from Wally Peterson while he was on the road. Jake rushed back to the studios sure something was wrong. On the way up to the station, Jake grabbed a copy of the Scranton Record, a perk for all of the employees in the building. It was a knee jerk reaction to the situation but if he was going to be fired, Jake at least wanted a jump start on the classifieds. Entering the lobby, Jake was met by a grim faced Wally Peterson. He motioned to his office, escorting Jake inside and shut the door behind him. Jake steeled himself for the bad news. Wally Peterson sat behind the desk, eyes down cast and said “We have a serious situation that I need to talk to you about that requires your utmost cooperation”. By this time Jake’s insides were tumbling like an acrobat’s. He stared intently at his boss. Peterson brought his head up, looked at Jake and intoned the words, “Keenan McArdle!” Jake looked at him blankly. “I need to obtain Keenan McArdle in the Fantasy Football league. I’ll give you Bret Farve, Hugh Douglas, Jerry Rice and Marshall Faulk. Even up. Four guys for one. You’re number three in the standings, this could put you over the top into number one” said Peterson sweat beading on his forehead.
