"A Radio Story/We Wish You Well In Your Future Endeavors"
is currently on sale at local book stores. The novel follows
the tribulations of a radio sales rep who looks for love and
media buys in a mid sized media market in an economically
depressed eastern region. The book is available to Radio-Info
posters at a reduced rate (postage extra). If anyone on this
board is interested, they can contact the author at the
publisher's provided e mail address, [email protected]. Send
an e mail and we'll respond with specially discounted rate info
and how you can get your hands on this book.

I'd be happy to read it and post a review for free.
Don't radio people always get comps?

Very cagey Mr. Sweep, but I do remember someone on this board mentioning they were writing a book. Anyone remember who it was?
Yes, some "radio people" do get "comps". Think it was called "PayOla", there is probably a new term used now a days.

I do bevieve that that man about town Yonkster was penning a tome. My offer to read and review the book stands. As far as payola goes, I'll keep everything above board. I won't mention anything about the book on the air.

Well Jeez, whoever you are Mrs. Sweep, not mentioning the book
on the air kind of defeats the purpose of reviewing it, right?
I mean does a theatre critic who gets comp tickets NOT mention
the name of the concert or the play when he is reviewing it?
Anyway, payola or no payola, Mrs. Sweep, I've always operated on
the theory "FIRST IN-FIRST RISK-FIRST REWARDS". So send me your
e mail address and address particulars to [email protected] and I'll
arrange a copy for you to review to this board and whoever you want
to share it with. If you like it, great, if it stinks, well then it
stinks.

THE AUTHOR IS BEMUSED!

There is so much to say, so little time. After significant consideration, Mr. Sweep accepts the challenge to read and review Yonkster's Tome. Mrsweep has been reading for several years and feels that he is up to the task.

Payola regulations refered to above prevent Mrsweep from broadcasting his review on the radio, but he will post his impressions on this board. He will write his post so that it relates to radio so he doesn't get deleted. Mrsweep will contact Yonkstur directly with his information. Mrsweep is looking forward to a good read.

Yonk, I think some excerpts here would wet the literary whistle.

I also think that when people refer to themselves in the third person, there's some issues to be resolved.
