A Reality Check for RealityTV

I noticed this about two weeks ago, but according DISH Network, they "are no longer offering Reality TV."

Did this channel pack up shop already or is this just DISH eliminating the network?

DirecTV carries Fox Reality Channel. Is Reality TV a completely different network or was it just rebranded?

It was a different channel, most the programming was COPS like, following around various police, fire & rescue departments.

Apparently, the viewers' idea of reality TV is people being voted off or evicted, not people in the public service sector doing their jobs.

Re: A Reality Check for RealityTV-Canada

ALSO: Global Television in Canada has the rights to a Reality TV Canada...but did that ever launch? CRTC aproved the channel, but where is it?<P ID="signature">______________

In Canada, there are lots and lots of cable channels approved over the years, but very few saw air, and at least three of them never went beyond the promo loop. It seems the media companies tend to get their channels licensed with the sole intention of keeping the Americans out as long as the license is active. When a company gets a license for a specialty channel, they are not required to start it up right away, if ever.

Hi everyone:

*LOL!*

That's what you get when we live in a society who's perception of reality has been warped by violence used by companies to peddle their goods and make a stinkin' profit.

Just my opinion...I could be wrong (but I doubt it though) :)

Cheers for now :)
