A Request for The Major

First off, with Thanksgiving just around the corner, I'd like to wish all the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale cast of characters a happy holiday. This board has some very interesting moments.

And speaking of Thanksgiving, The Major will be travelling through Central and Northern Florida with his keen radio listening ear.

Major, while you are in the Jax area, I'd like you to pay close attention to WAPE from a talent perspective. The station has lost and will loose many of their long-time talent and I'm just curious how the overall sound of the station is and how it compares to 97.9 Kiss. The BIG APE Morning Zoo will most likely be gone(if not already) by time you get to my neck of the woods as they all recently resigned.

As you know, CHR is not my thing so I haven't a clue and so I'd be very interested in what you think.

I give thanks to all of the fun and educational discussions that we have all shared together on this board since I first joined in on the Radio-Info Miami / Ft. Lauderdale family of loyal message posters nearly 11 months ago.

I will do that because I always do that anyway whenever I visit the historic northeast coastal corridor of the great state of Florida. I always compare the sounds and styles of 'APE' versus 'KISS'. The former is of course the heritage which is now going through some big changes (although 'The Morning Zoo' is supposed to continue on until Friday December 15th). The latter is of course the relative 'new kid on the block' (compared to the heritage). They've made considerable progress as a serious competitor.

I will shift back-and-forth between the two stations while I am up there next week. I have a few other stations that I need to check up on as well, so I'll report my findings in here once I return.
