A Ring-o' Christmas tunes

Here in my office on our Muzak speakers, we hear, among the Christmas stuff*, Ringo Starr's renditions of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" but also originals by Ringo like "I Want to Be Santa Claus" and "Christmas Dance". Apparently history's favorite drummer has done a Christmas album at some time in his career. Am I right? When did he record it?

*including John's "Happy Xmas" and Paul and Wings' "Wonderful Christmastime"

P.S. I imagine George Harrison never did a Christmas album but I may be wrong. :)

This hit the market in 2003 and quickly went into Mercury/MCA "Masters" Series. You can grab it for about 9 bucks at CD Universe. Mark Hudson co-produced. 4 originals, the rest traditional.

My favorite from his album is "Dear Santa" The song has the DooWop chord progression and is just begging for a group to find the song and cover it. Do9n't hold your breath because most DooWop fans think everything that exists in music from the British invasion onward is total crap and not deserving of a listen.
