A River Now Runs On 95.3/Fort Myers

Earlier this week, Clear Channel tweaked 95.3 WOLZ yet again. The station, which had long been known as "Oldies 95.3" until the "O" word was taboo, was then known as "95.3 OLZ" until Monday, when they rebranded as "95.3 The River":

The article includes a couple of interviews with local CC folks, but it's probably going to continue running one of those "IHeartRadio" feeds with liners voicetracked out of Texas.

They may as well drop the other shoe and ditch the WOLZ call letters, since they are now officially meaningless to this frequency.

I noticed the re-branding early in the week myself. No other real changes other than the "new name". Appears to be the same music. It appears to be pretty much all I Heart feed as you said although I did here Dave Logan on mid day. He has been the mid day guy for years over on Cat Country which is a sister station. Probably must VT.

Hate to break it to you, but there is no such thing as an iHeartRadio feed.

iHeartRadio streams music from Clear Channel stations onto portable devices (iPhone/BlackBerry/Droid/etc.).

So unless you really mean that they will be pulling their music off an iPhone........

"The River"..... (yawn)
