Inquiring minds want to know - was the A-Rod story that was SO BIG and SO widely covered in New York today covered with the same depth and level at sports radio stations around the country or even around the world? and then the bigger question - when there is a BIG story about a LOCAL sports player (i mean, let's face it, between you, me, and the lamppost, MOST of today's sports players aren't these big, awesome presences like Mantle and Maris and Reggie...), how much coverage do outlets outside the immediate area do as opposed to that which is done in the immediate area??
