A Shakeup Has Occurred In Demopolis

WZNJ Rick and Bubba, along with the best hits from the 60s to the 80s. Now known as "The River"
WXAL has picked up the former R&B format of WZNJ. The calls are still the same.

P.S. To basshawk, I like the new sound at 106.5 FM. Hope you'll have success with it.

Still love the Classic Hits presentation on WZNJ but have one suggestion.

Hope you and WZNJ will give it try and see if you could run with it, Mr. Basshawk

From around 7 A.M. till 11 A.M. Sunday Mornings and/or 7 P.M. till 11 P.M. Sunday nights bring back Alive 106.5 and do a block of Contemporary Christian Music.

This program was doing very well, before it got axed and the station went Urban.

I could help get the program started and share my vast knowledge of this music with you, if you was interested in this idea.  Hey I could even host the program.  No I would be unable to travel to Demopolis but I could record the program from my own computer and then send you a copy of it to air weekly.  All I would need is for someone to help me set things up on this Apple Computer, so I could get the ball rolling.

P.S. I hope your current Sunday schedule on 106.5 FM is just temporary, till you get the new format in place.

B.T.W. Glad to see that someone is bringing music back to the AM dial again.  Hope the new WXAL presentation will have success too.

In larger markets where demographics count yes (Praise and The Fish in Atlanta bill well). Smaller markets (less than 250K) any "niche" (AA, Oldies "pre 1970's", and sometimes even AC) are a little iffy. As with most radio, good sales people can "sell" almost anything. If your station station is not blessed with really good sales staff, then the format has to have have proven success with a wide demographic appeal and money that will spend at you clients location. That is why there are so many Country and talk stations.
