A Simple Question (I think)

I was a navy radioman back in the 60's so just for fun I recently took the military's ASVAB test to see what I could remember about electronics. Here is one question where I disagreed with their answer:

Resistance in a circuit is changed from 5000 ohms to 10 ohms. If voltage remains the same, the current will [ ? ].

A. double
B. stay the same
C. decrease by one-half
D. stop flowing

OK all you EE's....what is the correct answer? I'll post what the ASVAB said after I get a consensus.
 
The answer is- "None of the above", but I guess that wasn't a choice!
In this case the current would increase by a factor of 500. Ohm's law 101.

Now I see why I was confused. The answer ASVAB gave was (C) which I knew was wrong.

Thanks for the clarification!
 
The correct answer is "D" because the resulting surge current flow from the sudden resistence change would burn up the circuit. Geez don't you guys know anything?
