A Soft AC pirate in Elizabeth

nd2023

Banned
Today I noticed a pirate station on 102.3 in Elizabeth. It had a relatively weak signal for a pirate, as I heard it for only 4 miles. It was strongest at the intersection of Cherry St and Jersey St. I didn't want to go around foxhunting for the pirate tonight, maybe I will in the future.

Anyways, they played soft AC music, then a Spanish slow song before it faded away. The songs I remember: Toni Braxton - Unbreak My Heart, Luther Vandross - Here and Now, Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You, and a Spanish song I don't know.

Seems like a weird format for a pirate station, since I never heard a pirate station with a soft AC format before. It certainly was not WSUS on tropo since the signal was strong.

I have noticed that with a lot of pirates, they will play random Soft AC music, but will switch to carribean. I have heard that on the 102.5 pirate, tricked me into thinking I was getting WBAZ on tropo..
