A Special Thanks to Mr. Chuck Benfer

For firing Randy Turner last year and removing him from Mix 'We Love the Soccer Moms' 97 world you had him pigeon-holed into and for Pamal allowing him the freedom to create a great new station at 92.9. Makes you think what he could have done with Mix 97 had he not had you and the Cumulus bosses who are more concerned about Child Car seat checks, weather reports for morons (brrr, put your gloves on today kids) and the same 250 records you think people are only capable of digesting.

Makes you think, huh?

Great post, Randy....good luck with the station!!!!

Let me state this one more time as this is not the first time I have been accused of being Randy. I AM NOT. I do not work on air in Hudson Valley radio now, in the past and it's pretty safe to say not in the future. I enjoy listening to Hudson Valley radio and have most of my adult life. Do I know Randy? Yes. Do I know Chuck? Sure do. I stand by my statement that getting fired from Cumulus was the BEST thing that could have happened for Randy AND additionally I am enjoying Classic Hits 92.9 very much. I happen to know he was a HUGE part of putting this new station together and THAT is the reason why I am thanking Mr. Chuck Benfer. His poor judgement is very much a feather in the cap of Pamal Broadcasting.

I'll give Randy your well-wishes since I know he doesn't waste his time with this board.

Ok please do...as I said this station has potential for doing well. Time will tell. So far sounds great!! ;D

Never worked at " the mighty 590" but I was inspired by this station in the early '60s to go into radio....IMHO, this was the best station anywhere; those who didn't live in Northeastern PA missed this legend. ;) It's a shadow of it's former greatness with a poor transmitter and a canned satellite format now, sorry to say. Much talk about this legend on the Norteastern PA board.

Sorry to get off topic ;D

I was there for the good old days!!
