No, no, no...the Traffic Manager doesn't even figure into this story yet. What has happened is that the GM, who already left early to start the weekend, has told Traffic & copy that the logs cannot be scheduled or printed until the absolute close of business at 530pm, thereby seeing to it, that every last possible piece of business can get in. So....traffic & copy sit around and tap their toes, and at 529 in comes the order. It's got an odd schedule, so that traffic has to go in line by line by line to place it into the log. Then of course the spot has to be written AND approved BEFORE anything can go on the log. The smiling salesweasel then chirps.."Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend" and flounces out the door. Copy gets the spot written and recorded, but cannot get an answer from the client. So 730pm rolls around and Traffic & Copy are still waiting. Finally...the client calls back at 745pm..(He was bizzy dontcha know) and the spot's OK...BUT....he needs a small change. The word "or" in the 8th line needs to be changed to "and" so if you'll do that, and then call him back so he can HEAR it again, that would be great! At 830pm, the copy's finally approved, and Traffic can begin to print the logs. The Copy department feels sorry for Traffic because they've been screwed too, so Copy waits around for Traffic, and they finally leave for their weekend at 928pm. As they go out to the parking lot, they've decided that it's Miller Time, and off they go to Uncle Ignatz's Pub for some cool ones.......
