A student in my alma mater needs help

I have received an e-mail from my college (Marist) regarding a current student who is a Communications/Public Relations major that wants to get into the music industry but is still unsure of what direction he wants to go. I don't know if dance music is where he specifically wants to go, but as they say...get that foot in the door.
