A switch in the Evansville Ratings

(No, WGBF is not the #1 rated station any more)

South Central: 36.4 shares 12+ (excluding WEOA, which is operated under an LMA)
Regent: 33.3 shares 12+

This is a change from the last book, where Regent had a slight lead in the market.

Good books:
WIKY, WKDQ, WSTO, WABX, WDKS

Bad books:
WGBF-FM, WGBF-AM

Most everyone else was steady from the prior book.

John A used to do it with a single station (the Fm didn't count then) and third generation John P has to have his station in Boonville, The Wolf, WIKY WABX, and Class C WSTO did I miss one or two? Radio today....

Based on that observation, Regent should be able to pull off their numbers with just 1280. Long story short, radio needs more locations. It's just the nature of the beast today.

My '2'cents.......One view, that SCMedia does it with '5' signals and Regent has '6' in the Evansville mix.... Not counting the LMA out for WEOA and counting JP's license LMA'd to the home group at SCMedia..... Regent stations have an average share of 5.55 per station listed and SCMedia have an average share of 7.28 per station.... Another 'median-mean' way of looking at the corporate breakdown....

WGBF had a golden age too like WIKY (820 now called WIKY AM by some). In the golden age or old days or days pre computer Many stations ahd those large numbers.

This isn't a Regent vs Engelbrecht thing. (You call it South Central but be honest it's the Engelbrecht family).

Just anote that prior to research, niche formats, and ipods a single station could be number one with a single station. Yes Rob, now it takes "one on every corner".

So true, Chief....
