I'm posting this on Coast to Coast because two markets are involved.
Mention "Jim O'Brien" around the Delaware Valley and people think of a WFIL-560 DJ and goofy WPVI-6 weatherman, may he rest in peace. I met him on a field trip.
Mention "Jim O'Brien" in Baltimore, however, and people think of #80 on the Colts, a free spirit who, thanks to his right foot, came closest of all to winning a Super Bowl at the last possible moment - at least until Adam Vinatieri came along. The closest I came to seeing *that* Jim O'Brien was seeing his jersey at the Sports Museum at Camden Yards 2 years ago.
Here's a thread on baltimoresun.com (where I post as "foreverfree") that ties the two Jim O'Briens together. Funny what happens when two guys share one name. ;D Although I read where WFIL's "Jimbo"'s real name was James Oldham.
