a talk radio automation debate

It's one station (possibly a 2nd), local & satellite feeds, looking to podcast.

With user-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and reliability-ness (?) aside, which should I employ?

NexGen or Simian ???

This debate could go on for years and years. ;)

In my opinion, NexGen is the way to go. NexGen is fully loaded with tons of features, too many to list in one posting. NexGen is reknown for its redundancy capabilities and rock-solid performance.

As for podcasting, NexGen has the ability to do podcasting, including a program called accelerator. I highlight several hours in my station's log, click the button to create the podcast and in no time, I have my podcast ready to go. NexGen even has the ability to automatically create podcasts so if you don't have the time, NexGen will find the time to do it for you.

If I hadn't made the switch to NexGen years ago, I wouldn't be in radio today.
