A talk show on WDLW

This evening (01/20/2026) after 8:30 pm, 1380 AM had a financial talk show on, apparently lasting a half-hour. Where I am, WDLW usually doesn't come in at night, nor does anything else, so I stuck around to find out more. At the first break, occurring at about 8:38 pm, WDLW aired a number of commercials for local area (Lorain County) businesses. Many brokered programs, as far as I know, often don't have commercials for other businesses during them, so that was interesting. I wonder how many of these shows they may have and are, hopefully, making them good money.

Brokered shows do sell time within their shows. It's their inventory. When I programmed a talk station one of the weekend shows did this, offset their costs. They were a home improvement company/show, so they had their vendors run spots within the show.
