A Thought About i94 & CBS Sports Radio

I was just reading about John Feinstein signing on to do a show on the CBS Sports Radio Network. And while doing a bit of research, I saw that CBS Sports Radio is being distributed by Cumulus. What are the chances that i94 gets flipped to the new CBS Sports Radio and pulls Jim Rome from WNDE?

As a side: Since the network launches on 01/02/2013, seems like a good time to do a Christmas music stunt right after Halloween up to the debut if 93.9 does indeed do the flip.

Just a thought. What do you guys think?

Will Cumulus buy any play-by-play rights? If not, sports is a tough sell. But, if they wanted the Indians or UIndy or maybe the Boilers, they probably could get them.

Dunno between 950 and WNDE which station has the Reds and which one has the Indy Indians. but im sure 950 would look to dump whatever baseball team they got. so they dont have to split the stations during baseball gaames

To add on my previous post:

I think they would switch to talk on I-94. Not because of any local manuevering, but it would be for national sales of the programs. Indy being a large medium market would give Cumulus more ammo (and $$) for higher rates for Savage, Huckabee, etc.

It would be a return on investment for the upgrade of the signal from when they were talk before. To quote the American sage,TimTaylor, "More Power!!"

Maybe Ingraham but not Hannity as CC syndicates him and Cumulus is getting away from Priemere (CC) syndicated talkers.

yes they were when they had Mancow, Hannity amongst others they ripped hannity and i think a 3rd of WXNT's Lineup when 93.9 went talk the year before WIBC moved from 1070 to 93.1 to open 1070 for sportstalk

Doubt Cumulus would flip i94 quite yet. They have a new PD and new midday talent. Surely they wouldn't be brought in if a flip was close.

Granted, it wasn't under Cumulus ownership, but didn't Gold 104.5 hire a new PD and new morning co-host just weeks before the flip to Jack?
