A thought about South Park & Drawn Together

Trey Parker & Matt Stone's deal with Comedy Central expires in 2008.

(With an option for 2009 pending.) Do you think that with all that has happend

to them in 2005-06 with Viacom over content that they may not renew their deal?

I would like to see if they can land somewhere else if that's the case.

Then again the show seems to worn out it's welcome since they take

everything way too seriously in their episodes in the last few years.

Recently I watched a lot of the older episodes. They use to make fun

of celebs and have multiple storylines with breeze. Now I don't know what to

expect on some episodes even though some of them are really funny at times.

And I guess Drawn Together won't come back until this October.

What a way for them to build on a good series. Go the Sorpranos/Lost way of

building hype.

I'm thinking Trey and Matt will want to move on to other projects after their deal expires. Animated shows tend to get stale after a certain number of years (see Simpsons, The).
