I haven't heard the new 106.7 yet. I just was made aware of the flip. It sounds I may like it, an AC leaning softer and older than WARM and WROZ. I'll post observations in a day or two, after I listen for awhile.

But this opens another question. I was almost putting money on 106.7 becoming Central PA's "Jack." This surprises me. Who will become "Jack" now? It's bound to happen with the break-neck speed of Jacks signing on.

Are Oldies 96.1's days limited?

Yeah, I think it's limited. When you hear the new 106.7, it will sound as if they are taking a note of the oldies side, but this should be interesting. Jack will come to the area by the end of the year, mark my word.

JACK will not work here in Pennsyltucky. This area will not get it. Whoever tries it should be prepared to lose their collective shirts.<P ID="signature">______________

I tend to disagree with ya there. I think this will be the perfect place, especially for the 18-35 crowd. Add some pop, add some alternative, add some rap and r&b and there you will have the perfect station. A good Jack type station would be the '90s and Now' station up in the Poconos, Max 106.3 Now there is a good radio station. Anyway, back to the topic ... the problem with Jack is that they are too 80s and too classic, if you add more variety and more current tracks, then Jack will work. I think that ultimately tho, 96.1 will turn to CHR, that is written in stone. We will see, but an interesting day here in SoCenPenn, nevertheless.
