A Translator has an effect on a 100k watts station!!!!

I have no idea why I wasted time correcting you. Probably just for the benefit of others reading.

Any idea why 104.9 really moved to Biloxi?

No you were right. I don't remember what happened but, the drop in power and or height limited the signal in Mobile and killed any signal in Baldwin Counry. Which allowed them to keep 107.3. It was assigned to the Aloha Trust (CC stations to divest) after the move/modification. 107.3 was removed from the trust. The are doing something similar (I think) with WOLL FM in West Palm Beach, and I am sure many in many other cases.

Does this mean that Power stays on 106.1 or will there be a frequency swap sometime soon?

@ Younglee, I tried to get it back on subject with my previous entry to no avail.

??? ;D

That's the way we do things here in North FL.

On a serious note, do y'all think Power 106.1 is bringing in much additional revenue for Cox or just pulling ratings? The general consensus has been that clusters are using translators to ad value to their existing advertisers packages. Would Power be able to produce more revenue than the formats on Cox's bigger signals?
Cox has a long history of siphoning listeners away from the competition. Power on 106.1 is doing a very good job at that. It's arguably doing a better job of stealing listeners from the competition than any other translator in the USA.

its hard to say but the packages are not cheap...power only runs 5-6 commercials an hour..but im sure they are pulling enough to keep it running.
