A tree falls in the forest? Everett's WZSK 1040 Deleted

Looks like someone tattled that Bedford area's news/talk 1040 WZSK has been off-air for some time. When the FCC inquired the response was basically broken transmitters, but without any STA requests their license is deleted. WZSK had a CP for a FM translator, whoops!

I remember when the signal was a decent 10,000 watt simulcast of sister country FM'er WSKE-FM in the 90's. Around 2000 it flipped to news/talk WZSK, later dropping power (2010) to 2,500 watts. Both stations never seemed to have a web presence, besides old Twitter accounts.

The letter back from the owner tries to put all the blame on lack of advertising income due to the pandemic. I seem to think it had been off the air long before that, maybe as far back as 2018, because I'm pretty sure i didn't hear them any in 2019.
