A True Pittsburgh Oldies Radio Station

Pittsburgh has a Long History of Introducing Great Music and Singers. If we were to have a True Pittsburgh Oldies Station,Here is my Line Up.
Note Each of these DJ's Would Choose the Music. Monday thru Friday 6 am 10 am Frankie Day and Glen Raymer. 10 am 3 pm Candy and Mike. 3 pm to 8 pm Bill Dell. 8 pm 12 am Terry Lee. Saturday 6 am 9 am Cindy from WLSW. 9 am 12 pm Suzy Q, 12 pm to 6 pm Charlie Apple. 6 pm to mid The DooWop Lawyer. Sunday 6 am to noon Religion. 12 pm 6 pm Johhny Angel. 6 pm to 12 am Green County Gold, With the Greaser[who would also be on WANB 1210/105.1] . Thought's ,Other Ideas?

You've got some of this on 97.5/770 KFB, some of it on WLSW, and some of it on other stations (e.g.
WEDO), not to mention several internet stations serving this need. I don't see anyone else stepping
forward into this position.

Phil does a great job with his online radio station, and the others also serve the niche need very well. I've just never understood this format in Pittsburgh. Its been tried as a full time format and failed. Just never understood all this music played that weren't hits.

It's just not a format that gets big ratings. It has an extremely loyal, but relatively small following.
To draw ratings in Pittsburgh, you'd need to sound more like the old 3WS. Even so, your audience
would be 55 and up. Not the sort of format hole anyone would rush to fill, though I bet 970 would
get better ratings with oldies.
