A TV/Radio Icon, Larry King, Has Passed....

And now, unfortunately, he has passed. I still recall hearing him overnights when he was the King of nighttime talk radio. Actually, in a way he was talk radio, on a national level. Other national hosts, like Bruce Williams, were more finance oriented, whereas Larry King's show covered history, sports, politics, the nation's events, interviews with authors and musicians... In a way, it was one of a kind.

Three weeks after his death, I see the name "Larry King Special Report" on a cable channel. I thought it might be an expose or something like that. Turns out it's an infomercial for Omega XL. Thankfully, the sponsor has replaced Larry with a new host. But the show still bears his name. I imagine there are a few of these out there.

Agree totally.
While I didn't always agree with him politically (I do more now than then), he made you think.
His show wasn't always about politics and a "preaching to the choir" type of radio show you get these days from Big Media which cares only about the $$ and pleasing conservative listeners.
