A VERY Cheesy cartoon

My local MyNetworkTV station airs the DIC kids block, and I watched the series The Littles about half human, half mouse thingies I loved this back the day but when I watched yesterday on Sunday the show felt like a psa annoucement of sorts...message was "don't drink and drive" cause on the Littles got drunk and crashed his toy car while driving it. LAME-O! :-\

I get what your saying but it was the 80s, so everything was cheesy back then. All that cheesiness ended in 1990 with shows like Twin Peaks, Northen Exposure, and The Simpsons. The networks realized that they needed to stop forcing Danny Pintauro down out throats and also came to their senses that people would rather watch Hogan's Heroes on some indy over the Hogan Family.

Don't forget about the original He-Man back in the 80s. At the end there was always some moral about how Teela got in a mess because she didn't listen to her father, etc. My sister, who was about six years old at the time was offended that someone thought they could sneak a message past her disguised as a cartoon.

The old superfriends from the 70s did the same. In the middle of chasing the Joker, Batman would stop a woman and chide her for speeding and so on.
