"A "Wizard" changes it's colors...."

Sad to discover, and maybe in the Grand Scheme of things not that important. But I trolled over to the WIZN web site only to discover that they have changed their colors, dropped the famous 'Wizard" logo, the one with the Gibson Explorer. Now I know i'm being a big Dungeons and Dragons nerd about this, but what gives?

This was one of the all time great logos. Timeless. And the colors, come on, purple is cool. Yeah, I said it. I like purple.

I'm kind of a novice to this stuff, but why mess with the one really consistant thing they had going for them?

Oh yeah, i'm a big 80's rock guy, but ease up on the poodle rock guys(Poison, Skid Row, Crue etc.)...

Hall changed the logo because the old one was timeless and a Burlington icon. Since keeping it would have been the smart thing to do, Hall Communications changed it, because they automatically know better than the people who established the Wizard since they bought it.
