A Year Without Stern will 105.3 change in 2007?

We are coming upon Howard Stern's one year anniversary on Sirius and what has happened to 105.3?
Does anyone think they will keep the same line up or do you see changes on the horizon.
CBS has got to do something? Where will they make up the lost revenue?

All I can see is repeating O&A during mid-days and tossing away Pugs and Kelly-no loss there.
Russ is the best they have. It would be nice to have Leykis come on live fromt eh west coast.

Anyone else care to guess what happens at 105.3 or do the changes begin at Jack FM??

Another lets get rid of P&K post....you seem to just love to bash em... well their ratings are decent and I dont see Gavin doing anything to them in the near future. Their ratings are decent and remember they are the live ad whores for the station....they bill lots of revenue. 105.3 has proven to be the most successful free fm station for Infinity in the year since Stern and with 3 local shows doing decently they are far better then rest. I lived in LA for 2 years and KLSX hasnt been able to suceed post Stern because Carolla is not listenable and adding Bonaduce in 07 is gonna be a train wreck as he was on Star in LA and Leykis while interesting sometime does air live in Dallas for 3 hours...he airs 5 hours in LA (3-8pm LA time) so the 7:15ish-10 is live. And are you really gonna mess with the RMS show? The only thing I could see them trying is maybe trying to really syndicate the show but because it airs at the same time as Leykis for the most part it would be a hard sell. It wasnt Stern that cared 105.3....it was Russ. Stern's numbers in Dallas came nowhere near the numbers he had when he was at the Eagle...who wanted to listen to a commerical for Sirus the last 2 years he was on.

Hey, im all for chucking the P&K out the door. When your show becomes 10 mins of recorded spots, 18-20 mins of live spots per hour then another half hour of tired bits thats sheen worn off three years ago, its time to look for another job. Porkchop and Kelly has ridden the lawsuit gravy train for too long, time for it to pull in the station and get those two off. Two alternatives:

A) Big Dick Hunter and the WAC, which have done a pretty dang good job filling in for both Jagger and P&K over the holidays, this guy deserves a shot at a weekday slot. He works hard, busts his backside and comes in when other people are either too lazy or too hung over. Why CBS hasnt sucked it up and offered this guy and his crew either the P&K slot or the 10-mid is beyond me.

B) Danny Bonaduce, who had a serious shot at landing on sirius, but declined due to the fact he wanted to be near his family. The guy has history in the business and does a pretty decent job when clean, sober and in his right mind. I listened to his show on Star and it was a former co-worker who was looking for her piece of the pie who got em canned. That part is wrapped up in court right now and will be for a good long while as both sides are suing each other for damages.

When NY tells Gavin that revenues are down and he has to find ways to save money and along comes a pair with their lawyer in tow what do you think he will do. Cave in or finally say enough is enough-Dan and Tasos could slip in and no one would know the difference. Plus, they will be a LOT CHEAPER!!!!
