AAA Highroads moves to 3TV

Kind of ironic that after Dan Davis was let go by KTVK that working with AAA he developed the AAA Highroads with Dan Davis program and it now is moving to 3TV. Dan just announced the move on Facebook today. Looks like it starts there next weekend.

It's just the tv business. In retrospect, it seems likely that Dan, Brad, and, much later, Tara were let go because of their high salaries and the move to a more newsy GMAZ (rather than the more entertainment, folksy style of the past).

Dan fits very well in a travelogue format like "Highroads". It's not appointment viewing, but if you're home and have nothing else to do...

I watched AAA Highroads over the weekend. Like I mentioned when it first started on KPNX, this format is good for Dan. I thought he was spinning his wheels on Good Morning Arizona.

Another irony is that the show they are most similar to (or did they just copy the idea), "Arizona Highways Television", is on at the same time on ABC15.

Definitely very similar -- except that AAA Highroads often goes out of state and, even, out of the country.

Even though Arizona Highways came first, I'm 100% sure AAA has much deeper pockets than AZ Highways.
