Two elephants in the room for this thread. 1)arbirton addiction. You're not going to hear any format commitment from debt laden bean counters that doesn't show up in arbitron....like 5 stations with a .7 rating really tells a story.... Or insanely cheap to run. Ex: syndication. Here's how bad the ratings game has gotten: Yesterday I heard a 10 minute 12 unit stop set on The River. My automotive client was the 8th unit and 5th car spot! So the 60 minute music "promise" works for who??? Disclosure: manufacturer co -op rules required radio for the buy otherwise the $$ would have been allocated much differently. Sad that only two stations fit their qualitative profile. And 2) AAA listeners, or fans of music discovery, are no longer geographically limited by signal in their search for a curated playlist or companion.
