AAC+ Is Great!

Now that the new Shoutcast DSP, v. 1.9, supports live streaming of the AAC+ format, I can run a sweet-sounding 32 (even good at 24)kbps stereo stream! I think this is a great improvement from straight MP3. Problems are as with any other new format, not a lot of player support. I think once this catches on with Real and WMP, it will be very viable and highly successful! I'm impressed!

I completely agree with you Tim. In fact, once I read your post above, I downloaded 1.9 and brought back one of my stations that I put on hiatus when I was (pretty much) forced to leave Live365 late last year as I indicated in this post @ http://www.lunaticradio.com/cgi-bin...NDyg47Z1HJ1Xll3ZGNof5Idfs&forum=3&thread=1313 ).

Tried it at 24K AAC+ (Parametric Stereo), but 32K AAC+ Parametric Stereo is even better IMO (especially if you use 32/44). :)

Feel free to give my station a listen. :) Just look for NUKE 102 on SHOUTcast in the Alternative, Rock & Talk genres.

Anyhow...I had better put a bow on this before it comes across as a promotion (As if it hasn't happened already? *LOL!*) and post it. :)

Cheers for now everyone :)<P ID="signature">______________
