AAR in St. Louis

I hate to interrupt this lively discussion of hot female talk hosts and which of these hotties are gay or straight, but this is a talk radio board and we are supposed to cover meatier (pun not intended) issues.

Here's one... After several months of very little action on the affiliation front, AAR has gained an affiliation in a top 20 market. It's not much of a station, KRFT is a class D station which serves part of the St. Louis market. Formally a sports station, KRFT will launch as an AAR affiliation tomorrow. Good timing for AAR which is trying to get the focus off their financial problems and station downgrade in New York.

What are they running the rest of the day?

Imus
Neal Boortz (libertarian from Atlanta)
Franken
Randi (replacing Two Live Stews, Black sports talk from Syndication One)
Jim Cramer (investment advice)
Dave Ramsey (Christian financial advice)

With this hodge-podge, it's no wonder they never showed up in the Arbitron numbers.
They are a Class D AM but their metro signal is mostly OK.
OK, an inconsistent format. Are they doing any promotion?
Oh, silly me! Why do I even bother to ask? Of course they aren't.

Given the station line-up, I smell pay to play in there somewhere.
Or at least desperation.
AAR gets in bed with another bottom feeder.
Nobody notices - except Maloney who has another chance to crow about the end of progressive talk radio.
