ABC 7 in San Antonio?

Lately I've seen these christmas promos popping up on TV wishing happy holidays from ABC 7 here in San Antonio. THeir logo looks like the ABC7 in Chicago, but with a red background in the circle. I've seen this on ESPN and another channel which I can't recall a few times before Christmas. DOes this mean KSAT is going to channel 7 now or what?

I can assure you KSAT is not going to begin over-the-air broadcasts on channel 7. (for one thing, KTBC in Austin would scream loudly(grin)) There is no application or permit on file for KSAT to make any changes to its signal, analog or digital. Their digital channel is 48.

They aren't on (or about to move to) cable channel 7, are they? (seems unlikely)

Do the promos show any people? (if so, are they people associated with KSAT?) My guess is they're promos for ABC7 in New York that somehow slipped through.

It's the holidays. Pt's and interns are making the mistakes while the "regs" are on vacation. ABC 7 is the New York flag, someone at KSAT neglected to hit the switch.

Not in SA but elsewhere in the Lone Star State

KVII in Amarillo, KVIA in El Paso, KLTV in Tyler/Longview and KSWO in Lawton OK (Wichita Falls DMA) use the ABC "Circle 7". Naturally all 4 stations are ABC.
