ABC AC Making Some BIG changes on the Network

I'm still on the ABC list for emails after leaving my last assignment (I got this two days ago, waited for local stations dust to settle) - and it looks like ABC and WLS Alumni Bob Leonard had a falling out of some kind. This was very sudden. Anybody know the skinny? The email is striking in its abiguity...

Effective this date, Bob Leonard has left the building and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors.
Effective August 2nd, through the 19th, Lori St. James will be off the air, and John McCarty will be handling
Wake-up Duties on ABC AC. If you require any special opens or liners while John is filling in, please get them to Tom Kennedy ASAP.
On August 22nd, Richard Stevens will join Lori St. James as co-host until a permanent replacement can be named.
Richard has worked at great radio stations like KRTH in Los Angeles and KODZ in Dallas, and for the past 9 years has been of the anchor of USA Radio’s National Magazine Morning Show. Richard’s talent, attitude, work ethic and experience in the National Arena will allow us to continue to offer you great programming in the morning until a permanent co-host can be named and our final gameplan put in place.

We've been an affiliate since 1996, and have followed Bob's show, from before he had a sidekick. We thought Bob and his co-host were doing well together, and so did our listeners in the early AM (3a-6a Pacific).

It was a shock to us.
 
Yeah, same for us. It was a "Getting to the Job with Bob" Morning Show back before Lori was installed as his co-host. I actually think Bob's interaction with the listeners was stronger without Lori; his show had a certain flow to it and definitely was more "demo focused" than "Lori's life focused" as it rolled along... although again, I thought they had a fairly good chemistry all things being equal.
