ABC is dropping a show about Dragons in the future, because of the Subway bombings in London??

I'm lost. Did they dertermine that Dragons are responsible for the attacks???

Ah well, the kid likes Dragons but I suppose she'll find "Big Fat Liar" entertaining as well.

I think it may have something to do with being set partially in London and involves things going "boom".
______________

So, instead we get a documentary on Bush and Blair?

(Oh, wait, it's a Jim Carrey movie, never mind.)

Seriously, I think the networks ought to stop worrying so much about offending anyone and everyone, and start going after hard news.

Re: Why ABC Pulled "Reign Of Fire"

According to an article on Zap 2 It.com, the movie "Reign Of Fire" featured scenes where there were explosions in London's Underground (subway) system.

That's why ABC pulled the movie.

One other note: This Zap 2 It.com article reports that ABC's "Primetime Live" last night (July 7th), which devoted it's entire hour to coverage of the London subway attacks, only attracted a little more than half the viewers of a rerun of "Without A Trace" on CBS.

I was actually a bit shocked; I thought that "Primetime Live" would have drawn more viewers and win it's time period.

However, "Primetime Live" goes head-to-head against local news on most Fox, WB and UPN affiliates, and those who wanted to watch the latest updated news on the attacks may have instead watched those local newscasts, or the cable news channels.

Re: Why ABC Pulled "Reign Of Fire"

Thanks for the answer. I figured there had to be something deeper.

RE: Primetime live. Sometimes you should put shows on TV of value that may not be ratings hogs.
