ABC COLLEGE FOOTBALL: FIRST WEEKEND IN OCTOBER

Interesting announcer assignements. Musberger/Herstreight get the Auburn-Vandy on ESPN. Patrick/ gets the ABC Ohio St/Wisconsin... stranger yet, Jones/Davie get the split national ABC feed of Oregon-USC.

Normally, Musberger gets big 12 or big 10. Patrick generally gets the main ESPN feed, with Jones/Davie on ESPN 2.

Is ESPN arranging for Herbstreit, who does the HomeDepot pre game gig at the Site of The Week, to automatically get this gig, bringing Musberger to whatever the Site game is.

Its funny hearing Brent, the career upper midwesterner, on an SEC game...though this was supposed to be a rout, but turned out to be a great game.

I appreciate AC/DC as much as anyone , but for chrylsers sakes, MUST we hear "Thunderstruck" and "Hells Bells" every game, both on ESPN and in the stadiums!?! First Wal-Mart, now this...

Dunno. I've heard OF AC/DC but haven't HEARD them very often in my 47 years. I'm not a conneseur (sp) of heavy metal. :)-)

Actually, since they started the primetime games on ABC a few seasons back Musberger/Herbstreit have been the primary team for them. They fly Herby after Gameday each week to whereever the game is. However, this past weeend, the SEC game was better than the others, so it was natural for them to put Musberger/Herby on it.
