ABC Family has replaced their old "the preceding program was brought to you with CBN" with the far more emphatic (note the absense of "necessarily"): "the preceeding CBN telecast does not reflect the views of ABC Family."

Meanwhile, Venezuela has turned the tables on the US government by using their own terrorist extradition forms in a filing that demands Washington extradite Robertson to Caracas to face terrorism charges. Venezuela has also offered to provide free psychiatric care to Robertson "but he could be a lost case" according to President Chavez.

That I can agree on. And in light of Katrina, what Pat says the next couple of days may either save his face, or become another reason why he should be taken off the air.

People turn to God (or their deity) for salvation and peace in times of need -- the last thing they want to hear is some idiot telling them that God is giving them what they deserve.

That statement is something worthy of Drudge but he's got nothing on it. Where did you see this?

I never quote from fictional news sites. Actually, it's from an AP report. AP has several editions of the story as they updated it, but all the pertinent goodies have been in most. Hit Google News and search for "chavez psychiatric." Many of the sites that used to carry it have apparently cycled it off their site, so this seems to be the best way to find a link or two instead of posting dead links.
