ABC Hurricane screw up

Anybody watch ABC World News Tonight this evening??

In their story about Hurricane Wilma, they were talking about how FLA has been hit by 6 hurricanes in the past 14 months. But did anybody notice that they screwed that up?

They said the name of each hurricane (Charles, Frances, Ivan, etc.) and showed its path, or what they claimed to be its bath. They completely botched Ivan! It went right up the eastern side of Mobile Bay, hitting mostly in Foley, AL, and it hit Pensicola, FL, pretty hard too. They had Ivan goint thru southern FLA, near Miami!

I know this may not seem like such a big deal to some, but how do you mess that up?? I think they just switched Ivan and Francis around. It was Frances that went across FLA from west to east, much like Wilma is expected to do. And speaking of, keep safe, anyone from the area.

Just wanted to see if anybody cought that major screw up.

They also messed up a few days before that. They showed the paths of all of this season's hurricanes. Their graphic showed Dennis going into NE Mexico and Emily going into Alabama. I guess I noticed it only because it was Emily, not Dennis, that caused a bunch of headaches here in S TX. Still you've got to wonder how they could make such mistakes.

That was a test by ABC News to see how many of you are paying attention. Good thing you all passed

I thought Frances hit the East Coast of Florida, near Orlando. Well, there has been so many storms, that its hard to keep track!

It hit the east, and moved across, through Orlando (where I experienced it first hand).

ABC's not the only one who screwed up -- at 8PM ET on 10/22 on Fox News, the small satellite graphic on the right of the screen has the storm as Category 4 -- when the storm's actually a 2.

And one more from Fox News -- at 10:45PM ET on 10/23, as Cat-3 Wilma approaches the Keys, the lower 1/3s said that South Florida was under a Hurricane WATCH, when it's actually under a WARNING.

> And one more from Fox News -

There are a lot more Fox News'.

:)

(just a little joke! I'm not really serious about taht stuff, and I know it may make some people mad, but I'm just playing around. no offense!)

you could say the same about a lot of others, so just know its a little joke that you set up... i just pulled the trigger.
