ABC investigating NBC "Dateline"

Who would be their Chris Hansen? Yikes! :p

I think they're kinda screwing up on this one. Who would root against nailing sexual predators
(other than sexual predators)?

OK, these guys are all upset because a government-employeed sexual predator got caught
and offed himself. Sad for his family but what of the countless numbers of lives this perv
harmed? Dateline NBC's "To Catch A Predator" is doing this country a service. Is ABC just
jealous 'cause they've done so well with it?

While the cable news networks badmouth each other on air, it is unusual for the broadcast networks to do so.

ABC now beats NBC in the nightly news and primetime entertainment games... and is very close in the morning show game. It seems like ABC needs no help.

This sounds like to me this a line nobody should cross, investigating another networks problems when it is down. This could come back to haunt ABC should something bad happen at their network, and CBS' "60 Minutes" does an expose on that.

ABC investigating NBC? Gee, what a suprise that NBC isn't investigating NBC. Classic competition, not news.
Bottom Line: Dateline caught bad people doing bad things that those people knew they should not have been doing. And it goes beyond predator. Did anyone see the Ipod story?

The only news here, is the news that NBC got the scoop on.

I think ABC News is just a little jealous that NBC News got the scoop on this story first. NBC did a great job by catching the predators and now ABC wants to do a story on what something stupid. I don't see CBS News bothering with this at all so why do you guys at ABC News want to.

The evening news race is neck and neck, in the past year NBC romped through the new year, then ABC had a slight advantage February thru til May Sweeps, where it tightened again. Morning Show wise, NBC has again widened its morning lead with strong showings by Today.

With ABC's big 3 shows all suffering some May Sweep drops and NBC finally slowly climbing out of their 3-year tank. This to me seems like ABC's attempt to try and discredit NBC and turn the public against them, but with such a hot button topic like sexual predators and the popularity of that show, it could very well backfire on them.
