That 50k is nothing compared to what the Feds are going to hit Morel with when they finish looking into the past SEVERAL YEARS of NON-COMPLIANCE with engeering rules and regs and gamble pennies that he won't get nailed for serious dollars.
In the meantime, how about that programming genius displayed by Morel too, huh? 6 months after Scotto and Williams walked out disgusted with him he's managed to not move from a 1.7 12+ (you should see the 25-54, there ain't any!) but the serious lack of local content on 590 is sending people to 1300, which is now a half-point ahead of 590 and still growing.
Even more deadly for 590 is that 1300 and 810 are the two stations of choice among the business and public sectors (i.e. where the money is and where the decision makers on how to spend that money are). You won't hear 590 on in a single radio owned by a person of influence.
Best part of all is that when you see the diaries you see that there is a great deal of confusion over call letters and dial position. A substantial number of diaries that could have gone 590's way don't because they have either 'wrow' or '590' written down but PV as the show. They go to PV 1) because they should and (2) Morel won't subscribe.
The NY20th Debate will spike PV's ratings because he and his station will spend time talking about the race while Morel will simply put on the air a debate that will go into the diaries as PV's station and then blow any possible gains by ignoring the race on the Pamal air so that the local personalities can giggle and crack junior high school poopy jokes. Plus we get to hear all about the Berkshires all afternoon from the carpet bagger.
If you want to understand what dire straits the Pamal stations are in just visit their web sites; static, dated, no social networking webs, not twittering special events to me, nobody is gathering in a Pamal Facebook page and you will not find more than one or two Pamal people on Linkedin.
