"ABC's World News This Morning is brought to you by CBS Corporation"

Or was it CVS? It just caught my attention since Infinity Radio is now CBS. Chicago had a local spot right after it, so I don't know what the national spot was. Anyone see it?

I'd be inclined to believe CVS, the pharmacy chain. I
didn't see the spot, but I don't think CBS calls itself
"CBS Corporation," and why would they promote themselves
on ABC anyway?

CBS CORPORATION RE-BRANDS INFINITY BROADCASTING "CBS RADIO"

In anticipation of Viacom Inc.'s separation of its businesses, the CBS Corporation unveiled plans today to re-brand its radio division CBS Radio. Formerly known as Infinity Broadcasting, the division includes 179 market-leading radio stations, the majority of which are in the nation's Top 50 markets. The announcement was made jointly today by Leslie Moonves, Chief Executive Officer and President of the new CBS Corporation, and Joel Hollander, Chairman and CEO of CBS Radio.

CVS is running a holiday spot package. Perhaps they should do the voice over phonetically--"...brought to you by the Charlie Victor Sam Corporarion."

Re: CBS, CVS, Infinity, etc.

"ABC's 'World News Tonight' with Elizabeth Vargas and Bob Woodruff, is sponsored by Infinity Pharmacies. There's one near you".

Heck, the name "Infinity" is now available for a pharmacy chain.

;)

CVS actually stands for "Consumer Value Stores" and is based in Woonsocket, RI.<P ID="signature">______________

I was thinking about the fact that on programs owned by
the network, such as the news, you'll see COPYRIGHT MMV
CBS BROADCASTING, INC. I've never seen or heard it
referred to on-air as "CBS Corporation," even though it
may in fact be its corporate name now.

But it still makes no sense that they would promote
themselves on ABC.

Speaking about Consumer Value Stores (CVS)

Keep them straight here KML0224!

You don't happen to know the story of Osco (Sav-On) in Southern California do you?. Changed names, and lost about 50% of Sales almost overnight...
