ABC News Returns To Some Former O&O’s With New Cumulus Deal

Today, ABC Audio announced 29 Cumulus-owned news stations as affiliates, including WLS-AM in Chicago and KGO-AM in San Francisco. ABC Audio also welcomed 12 Cumulus-owned sports and music stations that will take its hourly newscasts. The stations signed on to ABC following Westwood One News’ closure.

KGO-AM San Francisco and WLS-AM Chicago are Cumulus owned stations named to get the ABC Affiliation deal. This deal has to be Horse out of the barn at this point though.
 
is WBAP one of those former Disney/ABC stations that has ABC News Audio returning to their national/world news during the overnight hours and weekends as WBAP does the top & bottom of the hour new update with their more local based news department
 
WBAP is now with Fox News Radio, according to a press release today from that network.

Here is more ABC Audio has signed a deal with more Cumulus owned stations around the country. Initially KGO-AM and WLS-AM were part of the new Cumulus/ ABC Radio affiliation deal back in September has now expanded to other parts of the country.

Just in time for Election Day, ABC Audio's affiliate roster continues to grow with the addition of 124 Cumulus-owned FM music stations. These new affiliates span across 26 DMA markets including Sacramento, CA; New Orleans, LA; Buffalo, NY; Indianapolis, IN, Oklahoma City, OK; and Green Bay, WI. They will have access to ABC News Radio's breaking news coverage and joined just in time to receive its robust Election Day coverage.
