"ABC PRIMARY" AFFILIATES IN TWO-STATION MARKETS

...for about a year in '65-'66, WAOW/9 Wausau was an ABC primary (as a satellite of WKOW-TV/27 Madison) while WSAU-TV(WSAW)/7 held onto its CBS primary/NBC secondary status. In October '66, WAEO(WJFW)/12 Rhinelander took to the air as the region's NBC primary affiliate, leaving WSAU-TV with CBS. Perhaps ironically, IIRC, WSAU(AM) was an NBC Radio affiliate at the time...
