Over the last month, it seems ABC Radio has shaken up their anchor line up. There are changes all over the map, though in my market its hard to track them all because all the newscasts are not carried.
The changes I've noticed include:
*Brad Wheelis replaces the departed Gil Gross on the Information Net from 6PM-mid ET.
*Michael Barr moves from 6AM-Noon ET on the E-Net M-W and 6AM-Noon on the I-Net Sa-Sun to overnights on the I-Net.
*Richard Davies moves from 6AM-Noon ET TOH 60-minute update anchor, to Noon-6PM E-Net anchor.
*Washington Reporter Pam Coulter now anchors I-Net Noon-6PM Sa-Sun.
*6PM-Mid E-Net 7 days a week is a mismash of anchors - Daria Albinger one day, then Deirdre Bryant, Liz White, Daniella Vellata, Steve Taylor etc. This used to be Clarissa Douglas's slot, but I haven't heard her for about a year.
I haven't heard Karen Chase or Gil Fox, at all, since these changes went through. Bob Schmidt seems to have a lower profile - I heard him last Saturday afternoon on the E-Net, but not at all otherwise. In my market, the morning shift of the E-Net cast is not carried by that affiliate, and none of the top of the hour 60-second updates (previously anchored by Richard Davies, Larry Jacobs, and Richard Cantu as recently as this summer - they were carried in Juneau, AK, where I lived this summer) are broadcast, so I can't listen to those.
Anyone heard any other changes? Are Karen Chase and Gil Fox still there? Were there other layoffs?
