ABC pre-empted some of its daytime schedule to air the famous(infamous in New England) playoff game between the Yankees and Red Sox. The telecast began at 2:30 ET, and, depending on how much postgame coverage they did, would have ended by 6 ET. 'General Hospital' and 'Edge of Night' were bumped that day, and 'One Life to Live' would have had only half an hour, so it must have been pre-empted, too.
