Looks like you're right about York PA's WSBA-TV 43, which went on the air at the end of '52 as an ABC primary affiliate. WTVN 6 Columbus OH was primary Dumont and secondary ABC before 1955.
 
Seven of the nine affiliates were Philly, Baltimore, Washington, Atlanta, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and DFW. I can't figure out who were the other two.

Would Boston have been one?

At the start of 1953, most markets had two stations or less (even large markets like Boston, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis), with those stations being NBC or CBS primary with ABC and/or Dumont secondary.

We're talking about the nine primary ABC affiliates plus the five O&Os that existed at the time of the ABC-UPT merger, not secondary affiliates, which were many.
