ABC Weekend Adventure

According to snta.com, ABC Weekend Adventure is supposed to debut this fall. Included in this three-hour-long block is a new program called Wild Countdown hosted by Jack Hanna. Is this supposed to replace ABC Kids?

Since it came from a syndication trade organisation, I would think "ABC Weekend Adventure" is a syndicated package being offered to local stations, apparently as a way to comply with E/I.

I think it will replace ABC Kids as "ABC Prime on the Weekend" is also on that site and that looks like it's just for ABC affiliates‎ not syndication.

Also listed on snta.com are the following:

1. ABC Prime On The Weekend
2. Dr. Drew's Lifechangers
3. My Network TV
4. This TV
5. Tyra

Is this the same Litton that distributes the show "Judge Karen's Court"? It airs on the low-power version of "My Network TV" known as "America One." I can't imagine it being a high point in Judge Karen's career... ::)

Wikipedia has confirmed that ABC Weekend Adventure will replace ABC Kids, which begs the question: Will the same EI-network logo be there?

Can't see why not -- CBS has been using the same red, white and blue "E/I" logo ever since they programmed the block themselves, before Nick took over.

How much longer will it be before CBS, NBC, and ABC will go the direction of Fox and drop Saturday morning kids shows altogether and leave stations on their own to meet E/I requirements? Although I'm not a fan of E/I, it's still the only thing that's keeping most local stations from going on Saturday mornings to news and sports (at best) or more trash talk and infomercials (at the worst).

They also distribute Storm Stories in its syndicated run.
