ABC15 Daybreak Sunday No More

For the last two weeks, KNXV has shown infommercials instead of the flagship one hour local news program, Daybreak Sunday. Last week Cox TV guide had Paid Program, this week it had News. I assumed that it was dropped because of ratings.

I noticed the same thing. The ratings must have been bad and they get to save the money of the production crew as well.

Well, I guess we're down to two weekend am newscasts now. I'm surprised that Fox doesn't have a weekend edition of Arizona Morning.

I think the reason why Channel 10 doesn't do a Saturday or Sunday Arizona Morning is because that's when they are able to fit the three hours of mandated "E/I" programs onto their schedule. They can't just kill off Saturday afternoons with the educational programs like Channel 3 does when FOX has Major League Baseball during that time period in the summer. Plus, they're able to get more money for the infomercials they air in the afternoon hours when there's no sporting events than they can in the mornings! ;D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't think of any FOX O&O market which has a weekend morning show.
